A Look Back Into Our History
Peoples Bank of Greensboro began its journey in 1881 as A. Lawson, Banker, and was officially incorporated in 1904. Our original branch was opened at 1112 Main Street in downtown Greensboro, serving as a financial cornerstone for the growing community.

In 1975, a second branch was established at 1402 State Street, expanding our reach and services. Both locations operated side by side until 2002, when the original Main Street branch was lost to a fire.
